4.

If the proposal were carried out, it is 300 estimated that there would at the outset be a class of 10 girls, and this would necessitate the appointment of an additional Mistress at about 890 per mensen. The fees paid would amount to $50 a month and the monthly loss would therefore be 840 during term time and 890 during vacation.

5.

The additional Mistress could be provided in September next by the transfer of Hiss Main from the Kowloon School where she will be replaced, if you approve the proposals contained in my Despatch No. 138 of 12th. April, 1912, by a trained teacher from England. Provision would thus be made for the employment of a teacher on the pensionable establishment who would otherwise be supernumerary.

6.

I am of opinion that the proposal should be

given a fair trial and therefore submit it for your favourable consideration.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

Claudevem

Officer Administering the Government.
